Sell e-waste FAQ
Is the 1 ton minimum measured by weight or volume?
Weight. One short ton (2,000 lb) is the pickup threshold that lets us route a dedicated truck. Mixed loads (for example, copper plus aluminum plus mixed e-waste) count together toward the minimum. How fast can you get to my facility?
Most quote requests get a response the same business day. Pickup itself is usually scheduled within the same week. A tighter timeline is worth asking about, and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.Do you accept mixed loads (e-waste alongside metals)?
Yes. Mixed loads are common on decommissions, and we sort at our facility. We just ask that batteries and CRT monitors are called out on the quote form so we can route them through the correct downstream stream. How do you pay?
Check by default, ACH or wire for larger settlements. Payment is issued after weight tickets and any applicable assay come back, typically within a few business days of pickup.Who arranges the freight?
We do, for pickups that hit the 1 ton minimum. Smaller loads that come to the yard on appointment are on your freight, but we can recommend a carrier if that is useful. What paperwork do I get?
A signed chain of custody at pickup, then weight tickets and (for scrap metal loads) settlement statements after processing. IT asset destruction loads also get a certificate of destruction. See the Compliance page for the full documentation packet.Do you accept smaller loads?
Under 1 ton, we accept drop off at our yard on appointment. If that is not workable for you, tell us on the quote form and we will suggest options.
