Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-20

New Recycling LLC ("New Recycling," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit new-recycling.com, request a quote, or use our recycling and IT asset destruction services, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using our site or services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information in the following ways:

  • Information you give us directly — when you submit a form, request a quote, or contact us: your name, email address, optional phone number and company, the pickup or service address, and the contents of your message.
  • Service information — for active customers: pickup addresses, asset lists, weight and scale tickets, chain-of-custody and certificate-of-destruction records, and related transaction details.
  • Information collected automatically — basic server logs (IP address, browser/user agent, requested path) and cookie or similar technology data. See our Cookie Policy for details.
  • Information from third parties, on the rare occasion we receive it. If a referral partner or listing directory sends us your inquiry, we treat that information under this policy the same as information you submit to us directly.

2. Use of Personal Information and Lawful Bases for Processing

We use personal information to:

  • respond to inquiries and prepare quotes;
  • schedule and deliver pickup, transport, processing, and asset-destruction services;
  • maintain records, send required transactional notices, and issue certificates and weight tickets;
  • secure the site, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain server logs;
  • comply with environmental, tax, and other legal obligations; and
  • improve our site and services.

Where applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) requires a lawful basis, we rely on: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business; your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Disclosure of Personal Information

We disclose personal information only as needed to operate, and we never sell it. Recipients include:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Vercel (hosting) and Resend (transactional email). Transport partners and downstream recyclers or smelters may receive the operational details necessary to schedule a pickup or complete downstream processing (pickup address, asset lists, weight tickets), but are contractually restricted from using that information for any other purpose.
  • Government or regulatory authorities, when required by law or to document lawful disposal.
  • Parties to a corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Advisors (e.g., legal or accounting) bound by confidentiality obligations.

4. Retention of Personal Information

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Basic server logs are retained for 30 days for security and abuse prevention. Service, chain-of-custody, and compliance records are retained for at least three years, and longer where applicable environmental, tax, insurance, or contractual obligations require it. When no longer needed, information is deleted or anonymized.

5. Your Choices

  • Marketing, when we send it, is limited to occasional service updates. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and quote and pickup confirmations are transactional and are sent regardless of your marketing preference.
  • Cookies — you can manage cookies through your browser settings; see our Cookie Policy.
  • Account or records — contact us to update or close your service records.

6. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, use our contact form. We will respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children's Privacy

Our site and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Notice to California Residents

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know the categories of personal information we collect (identifiers, commercial/service information, and internet activity such as server logs), the purposes for which we use them (Section 2), and the categories of recipients (Section 3); to request access, deletion, or correction; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information. To exercise these rights, use our contact form; an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

9. How We Protect Your Personal Information

We use reasonable technical, physical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls limiting staff access to those who need it, and vendor agreements that require comparable protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, our services, or technology. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
